Zero Gravity Brewery (previously The Magic Hat Brewery), South Burlington, Vermont, USA. This is a “Merchant Facility” receiving both piped waste from the Zero Gravity Brewery and trucked high strength substrates from numerous other sources including breweries, distilleries, ice cream processing, nutraceutical production, and yogurt manufacturing. Some notable clients that this facility serves includes Casella Waste Systems, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and the WhistlePig Distillery. Our digester in South Burlington has been operating non-stop since 2009 and has a working volume of approximately 450,000 gallons. The biogas produced generates 300 kW of renewable electricity for the Vermont grid – enough to power about 250 Vermont homes.
