Fiddlehead Brewery, Shelburne, Vermont, USA. The metaDigester™ system at Fiddlehead is one of PurposeEnergy’s most recent installations. This multi-tank, expandable design has allowed Fiddlehead to increase its wastewater capacity over time to keep up with beer production and sales. This system is currently undergoing its third expansion for increased capacity and features anaerobic digestion followed by ultrafiltration. Now one of the leading craft beers in the US, Fiddlehead’s digester system allows them to continue expansion in the small town of Shelburne, VT, and discharge wastewater to a sewer system that would not otherwise be able to handle the breweries organic loading.
